The word "Khaling" is one of the most beautiful, meaningful and realistic of names ever given to a place. Why??? "Kha" in Dzongkha (Nationallanguage)means bird, and "ling" means valley. This is the most enchanting, haunting and lush green fertile valley of the Himalayan Kingdom - Bhutan. Quite naturally, it is blessed with innumerable variety of birds and their songs. A recent survey (casual, of course,) revealed that there are more than 35 varieties of colourful birds with mesmerising tunes. Their enchanting melodious notes reverberate this heavenly valley.
